Re-hanging an axe head

A while ago I lent my axe to a responsible adult, and it came back with a broken handle.  I finally picked up a new handle from Lee Valley Tools, and I took some pictures of it and the other axe components.

This is the axe head and sheath.  Below it is the new handle and old handle.  The chunk of wood on the right used to be in the eye of the axe.

The grain in the new handle isn't as straight as the old one, but its acceptable.
This is the eye of the axe. It also shows the nice thin bit that Gransfor Bruks axes have.
I scuffed the top of the cheeks of the axe head a little when I was removing the wood from the eye, that's what the shiny metal is.
The old head hung on the new handle.

The head went on easier than I thought it would, and is even hung straight!  I tested the axe by splitting firewood and building a debris hut(sorry no pics).
